Personal Development

Welcome to the Blackpool Skills Academy Personal Development page.

We believe that personal development is key to building a successful, healthy and fulfilling life. Our curriculum is designed to help students grow in important areas such as personal health, relationships, life experiences and preparation for adulthood. We cover topics including sexuality, personal safety, parenting, financial decisions, careers and understanding different cultures and beliefs. The aim is to provide young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make informed decisions, develop positive relationships and prepare successfully for adult life.

Personal Development is woven throughout life at Blackpool Skills Academy and supports our wider ambition to help students become confident, responsible and respectful members of society.
